In October, 2006, our President, Mary E. Peer, was chosen as a finalist for Volunteer of the Year by Florida Today. On April 20, 2007, Animal Guardians received regional Jefferson Award Recognition. Animal Giardians of Brevard was written up by Best Friends Animal Society for the Spay-Neuter Program we started for Brevard County. The SPCA of Brevard is ran by passionate, progressive people that work day in and day out to save as many dogs and cats as possible.

SPCA Volunteers are needed onsite and off both at the shelter and our thrift stores. From Bark Buddies, Kitty Cuddlers and retail thrift store helpers, to home crafts brought in for our friends enrichment or even Foster Parents for dogs & cats, our shelter pets thrive from our volunteers!
